Can We Know When Jesus Will Return? Many people teach that we cannot know when Christ will return because of what Jesus said, "No man knows the day or the hour," but only our Father in Heaven (Matthew 13:32). Therefore, according to many teachers, we cannot know ANYTHING about the return of Christ, not the century, not the decade, not even the year. And anyone who claims to know is a false "date setter." But are they right? Let's look at some other statements that Jesus made about his return:
Jesus also said when he returns fire will rain down from the sky and destroy the world, like what happened to Sodom (Luke 17:28-30). This is the reason those who do not go in the Rapture must flee to the mountains from God's wrath. Jesus further said that the stars will fall from the sky like figs from a fig tree, which refers to the same event, the rain of fire from heaven and will take place shortly after the abomination and people fleeing:
These and many other passages tell us that Christ will return with global destruction which people must flee from; and Matthew 24 plainly tells us that we should flee to shelter when we see the abomination of desolation, which will take place when the gospel has been preached to all nations (Matthew 24:13-14). So the order of events is this: the end of the gospel age, the abomination of desolation, people flee to shelter, the stars fall from the sky in a rain of burning rocks that will burn up the world. Therefore, there can be no doubt that when the abomination takes place, the return of Christ is only weeks away. So that is something that we can know for a fact will happen, telling us when Jesus will return. But there is more. Jesus said:
This passage tells us that when we see strange things taking place among the planets of this universe, and that the planets are shaken, and that Earth is even shaken, that we should know for a fact that Christ's return is just a few years or perhaps only months away. These passages, reasonably interpreted, PROVE BEYOND ANY DOUBT THAT WE CAN KNOW WHEN CHRIST WILL RETURN, we just won't know the exact day or hour. That is, afterall, what He said; that we will not know the day or the hour, but that we should be looking for the signs of his return so that we can flee to shelter and not be killed by the huge earthquakes, meteors, and such that will take place during the wrath of God at the end of the Great Tribulation. But, of course, it only refers to those who do not go in the Rapture, (which will take place either just before the abomination or just after the abomination, because the abomination takes place at the end of the gospel age, and the Rapture will not take place until the end of the gospel age. God is not going to bring the Great Tribulation and wrath of God upon the world without first giving us many warnings. Warnings of certainty, not maybe. But anyone to who dares to declare that Jesus is coming back in a certain year or years is condemned as a "date setter" who will only bring more harm than good. No, those who are continually declaring that Jesus is likely to return this very second, those are the ones who are doing the harm. Every second that passes proves them wrong again, and proves them to be false teachers! Previous "date setters" have been wrong, that is true, but they have been few; the harm is caused by those crying wolf, wolf, that Jesus is likely to return today or certainly in a couple of years; "just look at the world events." Those are the ones who cause the correct warning to be ignored or mocked. Every couple of years they push the time table up another couple of years. Jesus never said to look at the world events for signs of his return, he said to look at the sun, moon, and stars, because the planets will "be shaken;" when these events take place then and only then we are to lift up our heads knowing that we will soon to be claimed from this world by Christ's return (Luke 21). Ignore all those wolf criers, but watch for the facts of Christ's return, which are signs in the sun, moon, and planets of this universe, because destruction is coming from natural means within this universe. The fire that will rain down upon the world will be from the impact of an asteroid that will explode on impact and send a billion burning rocks around the world, setting the world on fire. And we can know when that will happen, because it takes place shortly after the abomination of desolation. We can also know about other events that take place earlier in the Great Tribulation, before the abomination, because one of the asteroids described in Revelation has already been found. Have I set a date for the return of Christ? No, but NASA has said that the asteroid named Apophis passes through the key hole (a narrow area above Earth) on its 2029 pass, then it will impact in 2036. Apophis will be the star that opens the Abyss of Revelation 9:1, which is why it is referred to almost in code form when it says the king over the locusts that are released from the Abyss is named the Destroyer (Apollon and Abaddon mean the Destroyer). Apophis means the Destroyer. This tells us that the events that take place (the opening of the Abyss and the release of the locusts) is the result of the king named the Destroyer. This does not tell us exactly when Christ will return, but we know that this event will take place during the Great Tribulation, so we can know when to expect his return. THIS IS A SIGN OF HIS RETURN! Read my book for the full evidence about this asteroid. NASA is the one who has set the date, not I. We know his return is at the door because we are watching for the signs, and we have seen a big one! As we approach the end, more signs will appear. |
